USB Module

At the begining, I planned to use an USB module to connect LPS to a PC. It is quite easy from an hardware point of view, I already have an USBMOD2 that I can use. I changed my mind when I realized I wanted that the power supply be isolated from the ground. By connecting LPS to a PC through the USB, the LPS supply are directly connected to the ground. Isolation of an USB channel is possible but requires more hardware.

To communicate and have such isolation, Blutetooth is probably the best choice. However, it's quite expensive and requires more software on both sides.

As a last resort, using a plain old serial channel was the easiest solution, for the price and the software to develop. The serial connection is isolated using two opto couplers, one in each direction.
